Went here mostly for the view and the massive portion of fish they give you! The fish was much bigger than the plate!  I could not finish it!

My friends live in Straford-Upon-Avon, so they had been to this place before and like it very much.  Chips were fat and hot. I prefer skinner chips, but as I have found out, fat ones are the way of the English!  It was priced reasonably .
It did take a bit to get our order. It was great place to people watch, and central to our "Straford-Upon-Avon in 5 hours" tour.

Fish and chips just OK. Service very slow. Asked for a banana milkshake and got a glass of warm milk with Nasty banana favoring on it. Manager insisted that's the way it should be. This from a restaurant that advertised as an ice cream place?

Having been here previously over the summer, I suggested we visit to Oli M on our visit to Stratford.

The restaurant was very empty, which made a change from the last time I came as it was heaving and the only way to get food was to queue in the take-away section, which was fine as it was a gorgeous summer day so we ate our food by the river which is 2 mins away.

This time however we sat inside on a chilly Monday afternoon having visited the Butterfly farm. The inside isn't much to write home about, however we did notice a wall of famous celebs that had eaten there.

We both went for fish, chips and mushy peas which were freshly made for us, so we waited about 5-10 mins for our order to be called. It came to about £7.50 including a can of pop. Not cheap for what it is, but worth it! It was very tasty and authentic. So if your after a traditional fish a chips, head to Barnaby's!

Eh. I always knew I didn't like fish and chips, but decided to give this a try since I was in the hub of fish and chips. My experience here only confirmed my dislike for the "dish." Although the 6.5£ cod and chips is generously portioned, it was way too much fried stuff and way too little flavor for me. Granted, the vinegar and salt did slightly improve the taste, but not by far.
I also tried the steak and kidney pie yesterday, and I was not pleased. Perhaps it was the mushed kidney beans that contaminated the steak taste...
In any case, I don't particularly like Barnaby's, though I do appreciate its quick service (strangely enough, however, waiting for "takeaway" takes longer than eating in).

I am a massive chips fan and whilst in Stratford-upon-Avon with my family we thought we would get some chips for our lunch as it was a nice sunny day.

On arriving to the place, there was a massive queue practically all the way down the road. We didn't mind waiting as we had heard good things about the place.

Once we reached the till point I noticed that there was only one person serving, which was a little strange considering how busy the place was for the takeaway option. The sit in restaurant side was empty but there was about 4-5 staff waiting around.

The service was relatively quick for one person doing a lot of work.

It was a little gross seeing the vinegar in a plastic sports water bottle and also seeing a massive tub with all the chips waiting to be fried right next to member of staff serving. They weren't covered or anything.

The chips were nice but nothing special. Prices were OK around 2.20 for a standard portion of chips. I can't comment on the fish as I did not try any.
